Glow Up Challenge!

Glow up: to transform oneself in a significant way.

​

In this challenge, we will transform ourselves from the inside out, because what we put into our bodies shows on our face, skin, hair, body, etc...we feel more youthful, vibrant, mentally optimistic and hopeful! ​​​

​

Throughout the month, you'll enjoy fresh, clean, delicious food. You'll notice that your skin will soften and you’ll tart to notice a healthy glow. This is what you’ll notice on the outside, but what you may not realize is how much your body is healing on the inside! Your digestion improves, gut heals and microbiome thrives with the inclusion of micronutrients, fiber, prebiotics and probiotics in the food on the plan. Your body starts to feel better and move better. You’ll sleep better. Excess weight is lost. The swelling and aches and pains from chronic inflammation go away and you look and feel younger! All this, and with recommended exercise and lifestyle modifications, we’ll get to work on lengthening your telomeres! The length of our telomeres has been found to significantly determine our health and longevity! I’m obsessed with turning back the clock! I hope you’ll put your trust in me and join the challenge! 

 

During this challenge, I will go into skin care a bit for those of you who feel you need more help with the look and feel of your skin. ​If you are serious about making changes to your health and your appearance, you are in the right place! ​I am going to teach you what foods to eat, what to avoid, as well as food/meal timing. How to lean out and how to build muscle. They are different! ​

​

​I will provide meal plans, with clean, whole foods, incorporating fresh, local fruits and vegetables (whenever possible), because these provide the highest nutrient value and are excellent at healing the body. The meals will include foods high in fiber, protein and micronutrients. A guide to vitamins and supplements when needed. You don't have to be vegan or follow a plant based diet to participate; I will work with you.​

Exercise

Exercising is imperative for optimal health and getting results. I will provide a guide and daily challenges to give you the tools and motivation to keep you moving and understand what you need to do to achieve your ideal health and fitness. If you are over the age of 50 and 60, you may have noticed that your usual regimen is no longer giving you the results you want. During this challenge, you will learn that your exercise regimen should be more specific and, therefore, it's important to know what to do to get results!​

Class Dates and Details

  • Saturday, April 15, 1pm to 4pm - Start Up Class. Attending will help ensure you have the knowledge, understanding and confidence to succeed in this program! This is a comprehensive class, including how to prepare the foods to successfully get you through the first week. Attendance is highly recommended. No additional fee for for this class for all registered in the Challenge.

  • Cooking Class - Tuesday, 4/25, 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Learn how to successfully food prep for the remainder of the challenge. Cost: $45

  • Grocery Shopping Field Trip - Date TBD

  • 30-Day Challenge dates – April 15 through May 14.

  • Reserve your spot; contact me to sign up. Subsequent to your registration, I will send you a detailed questionnaire to get to know your current health and fitness lifestyle, health challenges, goals, etc. 

  • If you are taking cholesterol, blood pressure or diabetes medications, I encourage you to talk to you doctor about your interest in participating in this challenge. Since this type of diet can lower your numbers in a short period of time, you may need to be monitored.
